From the virtual travel agency...
While looking for a recording of
San Francisco Bay's foghorns,
Quiet American's site popped up. It's got audioscapes (mp3 recordings of varying length) taken from several different countries:
- USA (San Francisco Bay Area)
- Vietnam
- Fiji
- Burma
- Laos
- Cambodia
- Nepal
So far my favorites are the San Francisco and Nepal selections. Check out some of the sounds from SFO's Mission district, or the Nepalese buddhist monasteries. Very cool, and if you're a swell, recordings of other areas can be commissioned as well.
